When I am using gecko in LAN mode, It is more helpful for the "own number" box to display my lan IP address. Anyone else on the LAN will require this information to connect to me, not my phone number. Might be an idea to consider changing this.

Also your profile page works a bit like a roaming DynamicDNS tracker... interesting.

I will put this function in the next release.

An interesting problem associated with this is:
Some PCs will contain many network adapters, which IP address gets shown to the user?

The only real solution is to show all network adapter addresses to the user, and that's what I'll have to do. I propose smoothly scrolling all available IP addresses through the own number box. This scroll will only happen if the IP addresses (padded with spaces) can't fit accross the length of the own number box.

Any alternative ideas are welcome...

Yes yhe geckophone server is in effect a DynamicDNS tracker, but it just binds a static 4byte number (the Gecko number) to a dynamic IP address.
